Recalibrate Series - The Redemption Story
This past Sunday, Pastor Jason delivered another incredible message in the Recalibrate series, diving into The Redemption Story. Our key scripture was John 1:1-14, a powerful reminder that Jesus, the Word, has been present since the beginning. He is the light that shines in the darkness, bringing life and hope to all who believe.
Pastor Jason also pointed us to Genesis 3:15, a verse that reveals God's plan for redemption from the very beginning of time. Even when sin first entered the world, God was already weaving a story of salvation through Jesus. It’s a thread that runs throughout scripture, connecting us to the promise of a Savior.
He also encouraged us to reflect on other supporting scriptures, like Luke 24:27 and Luke 24:31-32, which show how Jesus is revealed in all of scripture. In John 8:12, Jesus boldly declares, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” These verses bring into focus the truth that Jesus is at the center of God's plan—His light guiding us out of the darkness.
One of Pastor Jason’s challenges stood out: Approach scripture with fresh eyes. Too often, we read the Bible out of routine or familiarity, and we miss the beauty and depth of what God is saying. But when we look for Jesus on every page, we discover a story that isn’t just ancient history—it’s deeply personal and alive.
He also pointed out how life’s circumstances reveal our need for a Savior. When life is going well, we’re quick to celebrate our independence, feeling self-reliant and confident. But in seasons of struggle, when the weight of life becomes too heavy to carry, we’re reminded of our deep need for Jesus. These moments of brokenness often become the very places where we experience His light and redemption most clearly.
How Do We Recalibrate?
This week, let’s take Pastor Jason’s challenges to heart.
Final Thoughts
God’s story of redemption isn’t just for the pages of the Bible—it’s for you and me, right here, right now. His light shines in the darkness of our world, offering life and hope. Even in our struggles, He meets us with grace, reminding us that we are never alone.
As we recalibrate our hearts this week, let’s celebrate our dependence on Jesus, not just when life is hard but in every moment. Let’s look for Him in scripture, in our circumstances, and in the lives of those around us.
A Prayer to Carry with You
Lord, thank You for Your story of redemption, written from the very beginning. Help me to approach Your Word with fresh eyes and see Jesus in every part of scripture and my life. Teach me to depend on You daily, even in the good times. Shine Your light into my heart and guide me closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Let’s recalibrate together and rediscover the beauty of God’s redemption story.

How Do We Recalibrate?
This week, let’s take Pastor Jason’s challenges to heart.
- Approach Scripture with Fresh Eyes
If you’ve been reading the Bible out of habit or feeling stuck in routine, ask God to help you see His Word in a new way. Look for Jesus on every page, from Genesis to Revelation, and ask Him to speak to your heart. - Recognize Your Dependence on Jesus
It’s easy to forget our need for a Savior when life is smooth sailing. But true freedom comes from living in daily dependence on Him. Take a moment to thank Jesus for being the light that guides you through both the joy and struggles of life. - Look for Redemption in Your Story
Where has Jesus brought redemption in your life? How has His light pierced through your darkest moments? Reflecting on His faithfulness not only strengthens your faith but also equips you to share His hope with others.
